China Automobile Association: November Production And Sales Continued To Slump

According to the statistics of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile production and sales volume showed a slight increase in November 2018, and the year-on-year decline was still obvious. From January to November, automobile production and sales continued to decline year-on-year, and the decline was larger than that in January-October.


1. Automobile production and sales continue to decline over the same period


In November 2018, automobile production and sales continued the downward trend since July, and continued to show a significant decline year-on-year. The production and sales of automobiles in the month were 2.498 million units and 2.548 million units respectively. The production and sales volume increased by 7% and 7.1% respectively, down 18.9% and 13.9% respectively, and the production and sales rate reached 102%, and the inventory decreased. From January to November 2018, the production and sales of automobiles were 25.325 million units and 25.42 million units respectively. The production and sales volume decreased by 2.6% and 1.7% respectively, and the growth rate of production and sales continued to fall.


 


2. Passenger car production and sales continued to expand year-on-year


In November 2018, the production and sales of passenger cars were 2.123 million units and 2.173 million units respectively. The production and sales volume increased by 6% and 6.2% respectively. The production and sales volume decreased by 20.5% and 16.1% respectively. The production and sales continued to decline year on year, and the decline was widened. From January to November 2018, the production and sales of passenger cars were 21.474 million and 21.478 million, respectively, and the production and sales decreased by 3.4% and 2.8% respectively. From the production and sales of passenger cars, the production and sales of passenger cars decreased by 2.4% and 1.4% respectively; SUV production and sales decreased for the first time, down 0.4% and 0.8% respectively; MPV production and sales decreased by 18.7% and 16.1% respectively; cross type Passenger car production and sales decreased by 22% and 18.1% respectively.


 


3. Commercial vehicle sales increased year-on-year


In November 2018, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 375,000 and 374,000 respectively, and the production and sales volume increased by 13% and 12.3% respectively. The output decreased by 8.7% year-on-year, and the sales volume increased by 1.7%. From January to November 2018, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 3.851 million and 3.941 million respectively, and the production and sales increased by 2% and 5% respectively. According to the production and sales of the models, the production and sales of passenger cars were 435,000 and 419,000 respectively, and the production and sales decreased by 5% and 7% respectively. The production and sales of trucks were 3.416 million and 3.522 million respectively, and the production and sales increased by 2.9% and 6.6 respectively. %, of which semi-trailer tractor production and sales decreased by 22% and 19.8% respectively.


 


4. New energy vehicles grew at a high rate year-on-year


In November 2018, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 173,000 and 169,000 respectively, an increase of 36.9% and 37.6% respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 135,000 and 138,000 respectively, up 23.6% and 30.3% respectively. The production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 38,000 and 31,000 respectively, up 121.7% and 82.5% respectively. From January to November 2018, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 1.054 million and 1.03 million, respectively, an increase of 63.6% and 68% respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 807,000 and 791,000 respectively, up 50.3% and 55.7% respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 247,000 and 239,000 respectively, up 130.3% and 127.6% respectively.
