Michelin China and Shanghai Lisheng Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd. jointly announced that Michelin will become the official tire supplier for the China Touring Car Championship in the next three seasons (2019-2021), providing race tires and services.
CTCC is currently the highest level of motorhome racing in China. The number of brand-name automakers participating in the competition is among the top in the domestic motor racing. As one of the top motor sports in China, CTCC also has several star drivers. CTCC is the focus of many domestic racing fans, both on and off the court.
Starting next season, Michelin will offer the Michelin Pilot Sport GT series for the competition. Through innovative technology and years of experience on the track, Michelin hopes to provide the car with superior grip and handling performance with the most suitable race tires, helping the driver to achieve good results.
For the cooperation between the two parties, Mr. Xia Qing, Chairman of Lisheng Racing, said: “The racing tires are highly technological products. Michelin has accumulated and changed its own technology in all major stadiums around the world. I believe in the CTCC. Michelin will provide high-quality racing tire products and services for all participating drivers and teams. We hope that we can work together to improve the CTCC competition."
