Recently, PetroChina Research Institute of China National Petroleum Corporation said that the key national R&D projects led by them, the key technologies for synthetic rubber industrialization, have achieved initial results.
It is reported that it has achieved major technological breakthroughs in core technology areas such as star-type branched butyl/bromobutyl rubber synthesis and double-B tire preparation technology.
A person familiar with the matter said that the project was led by the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute.
The undertaking units include 7 institutes such as Changchun Yinghua Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Shandong Jinyu Industry, Yiweiyi Rubber Research Institute and Zhejiang Xinhui.
Star-type branched butyl rubber is a high-end product of butyl rubber and plays an important role in extending the life of vulcanized capsules.
Its production technology is difficult, the conditions are harsh, and the polymerization temperature is nearly -100 ° C. Previously, there were no mature technologies and products in China.
In the process of tackling the project, the project team started the research on the three levels of polymerization raw materials, polymerization process and polymerization formula, and developed a complete set of star-type branched butyl rubber preparation technology.
Vulcanized capsules are the core components of tire manufacturing and have a significant impact on tire quality and cost.
According to reports, at present, the number of repeated use of vulcanized capsule products in China is about 450 times, which is still far from the advanced level of foreign countries. It also leads to 2-3 grades of domestically produced tires than foreign advanced double B tires. .
China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute said that the newly developed star-type branched butyl rubber has increased the average service life of vulcanized capsule products by more than 15% to 527 times.
